Somebody else needs to hear this beautiful word this morning…

Have a blessed day full of joy and be confident in the Lord!

I want to love like He loves!

“One of the Pharisees asked him over for a meal. He went to the Pharisee’s house and sat down at the dinner table. Just then a woman of the village, the town harlot, having learned that Jesus was a guest in the home of the Pharisee, came with a bottle of very expensive perfume and stood at his feet, weeping, raining tears on his feet. Letting down her hair, she dried his feet, kissed them, and anointed them with the perfume. When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man was the prophet I thought he was, he would have known what kind of woman this is who is falling all over him.”
Jesus said to him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.” “Oh? Tell me.” “Two men were in debt to a banker. One owed five hundred silver pieces, the other fifty. Neither of them could pay up, and so the banker canceled both debts. Which of the two would be more grateful?”
Simon answered, “I suppose the one who was forgiven the most.” “That’s right,” said Jesus. Then turning to the woman, but speaking to Simon, he said, “Do you see this woman? I came to your home; you provided no water for my feet, but she rained tears on my feet and dried them with her hair. You gave me no greeting, but from the time I arrived she hasn’t quit kissing my feet. You provided nothing for freshening up, but she has soothed my feet with perfume. Impressive, isn’t it? She was forgiven many, many sins, and so she is very, very grateful. If the forgiveness is minimal, the gratitude is minimal.”
Then he spoke to her: “I forgive your sins.” That set the dinner guests talking behind his back: “Who does he think he is, forgiving sins!” He ignored them and said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.””

‭‭Luke‬ ‭7:36-50‬ ‭MSG‬‬

The greatest commandment He has given us is to love one another. Let’s do just that. It’s simple. Let’s receive His love and give to ALL we come in contact with, starting at home and no matter what religion they may be, skin color, financial position, location. Let’s let the love of Christ radiate that lives within us, to reach a hurting world that needs to know of a Savior that loves them, that accepts us just as we are and makes us more than we could ever imagine!

Jesus thank you for your love. God thank you that I hear your voice. Thank you for removing hate, anger, and judgement (sin) from my heart and replacing it with your love! Help me with your Spirit to give Your love freely! Forgive me for when I have not given your love due to judging with my own eyes. Thank you God that you don’t see me the way I see others at times. Help me to see others through the eyes of Christ!

Leaving the city of regret…

Read these great bundle of reminders this morning…good stuff for a new day……

Leaving the City of Regret

I had not really planned on taking a trip this time of year, and yet I found myself packing rather hurriedly. This trip was going to be unpleasant, and I knew in advance that no real good would come of it. I’m talking about my annual “Guilt Trip.”

I got tickets to fly there on Wish I Had airlines.

It was an extremely short flight.

I got my baggage, which I could not check. I chose to carry it myself all the way. It was weighted down with a thousand memories of what might have been.

No one greeted me as I entered the terminal to the Regret City International Airport. I say international because people from all over the world come to this dismal town.

As I checked into the Last Resort Hotel, I noticed that they would be hosting the year’s most important event, the Annual Pity Party. I wasn’t going to miss that great social occasion.

Many of the town’s leading citizens would be there.

First, there would be the Done family, you know, Should Have, Would Have and Could Have.

Then came the I Had family.

You probably know ol’ Wish and his clan.

Of course, the Opportunities would be present, Missed and Lost.

The biggest family would be the Yesterday’s. There are far too many of them to count, but each one would have a very sad story to share.

Then Shattered Dreams would surely make an appearance. And It’s Their Fault would regale us with stories (excuses) about how things had failed in his life, and each story would be loudly applauded by Don’t Blame Me and I Couldn’t Help It.
Well, to make a long story short, I went to this depressing party knowing that there would be no real benefit in doing so.

And, as usual, I became very depressed.

But as I thought about all of the stories of failures brought back from the past, it occurred to me that all of this trip and subsequent “pity party” could be cancelled by ME!

I started to truly realize that I did not have to be there.
I didn’t have to be depressed. One thing kept going through my mind, I CAN’T CHANGE YESTERDAY, BUT I DO HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE TODAY A WONDERFUL DAY.

I can be happy, joyous, fulfilled, encouraged, as well as encouraging. Knowing this, I left the City of Regret immediately and left no forwarding address.

Am I sorry for mistakes I’ve made in the past? YES!

But there is no physical way to undo them.

So, if you’re planning a trip back to the City of Regret, please cancel all your reservations now.

Instead, take a trip to a place called, Starting Again. I liked it so much that I have now taken up permanent residence there.

My neighbors, the I Forgive Myselfs and the New Starts are so very helpful. By the way, you don’t have to carry around heavy baggage because the load is lifted from your shoulders upon arrival.

God bless you in finding this great town. If you can find it, it’s in your own heart.

Please look me up. I live on I Can Do It street.

“that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus. God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

Ephesians 2:5-10 NLT

The old is dead and gone and the new is here!!!!! Thank you Father for the best gift ever, Jesus and Your Spirit!

God thank you for today as it truly is a gift from you. Help us to see Your miracles that you work in our lives and I pray that we never take them for granted. Help us to rely on you and not ourselves. Thank you for your Spirit that guides us and that you do go before us. Help us to not be arrogant or prideful but confident in you Christ Jesus. Help us to receive our encouragement from you and in return encourage one another, let nothing negative flow in our minds and out of our mouths Lord! We can’t do this alone. I surrender the day to you Father and trust you. Thank you that You are so faithful and good! I know and believe that, no matter what the enemy may try to whisper or what my feelings may say at times. You are Almighty!

To all the Wives or future Wives, I tell you from experience…..the truth and prayers in this book are very powerful! The awesome thing is I’m not even finished yet and God is on the move! I am learning about coming to God first and leaving the work to Him, instead of nagging or preaching to my Husband. Relying more on Holy Spirit, not myself always makes a difference. My heart is also being transformed and humbled through the prayers. Learning to pray scripture over your Husband, yourself, and your marriage is very powerful…..after all it’s not called the living word for no reason! I have a ways to go but the results I’ve already seen are effective and a blessing. Hope you enjoy this as much as I am! Imagine if every wife in the world prayed for their Husband and they came to know Christ…..the world would change, lives would change, marriages would transform, heal, restore….reconciled marriages….putting the enemy in his place! If you are reading this I challenge you to step out in faith, don’t be afraid, pray for your Husband….daily. I hope you have an awesome day and that you know how much Jesus loves you!
